Pre-Order Terms

What a pre-order means

Our loungers and chairs are not in stock today. Everything on this site is currently sold as a pre-order: you pay in full now to reserve an item from our first production run, and we ship it to you within 120 days of the day you place your order.

Your own ship-by date is worked out at checkout and printed on your order and your confirmation email, so you always have it in writing. If we are able to ship sooner, we will. Your date is the one we commit to, not a target.

Founding pre-order pricing

The first 100 units we sell are $50 off: the Bosphorus lounger at $399 instead of $449, and the ChillGo chair at $249 instead of $299. Our 2-pack pricing applies on top, so a pair of loungers is $699 and a pair of ChillGo chairs is $399.

This is a launch price for our earliest customers, in recognition that you are waiting for stock rather than buying off a shelf. When the first 100 units are gone, prices return to $449 and $299.

You can cancel at any time before it ships

Until your order actually ships, you can cancel it for any reason and get a full refund of everything you paid, including any shipping charge. You do not need a reason and there is no fee.

To cancel, email sales@ottomara.com with your order number. We will confirm by email and issue the refund to your original payment method within 7 business days. Depending on your bank or card issuer, it can take a few extra days to appear on your statement.

If we cannot ship by your date

If we work out that we are going to miss your ship-by date, we will email you before it passes. That email will tell you the new date we expect to ship, and it will give you a straight choice:

Accept the new date and keep your order, or
Cancel and get a full refund.

If the new date is more than 30 days later than the date we originally gave you, we will not keep your money on the assumption that you are fine with it. In that case, we will cancel your order and refund you in full unless you reply and tell us you want to wait.

If we ever reach a point where we cannot tell you a realistic date at all, we will cancel your order and refund you in full without waiting to hear from you.

Refunds

Refunds on cancelled pre-orders go back to the card or payment method you used, within 7 business days of the cancellation. We do not issue store credit or vouchers in place of a refund unless you ask us to.

After your order arrives

Once your item is delivered, our normal returns policy takes over: 14 days to change your mind, and a two-year warranty against manufacturing defects.

Price and specification

The price you pay at checkout is the price of your order. If our costs change between now and shipping, we absorb it — we will not ask you for more money later, and we will not quietly substitute a different colour or specification. If the exact colourway you ordered turns out to be unavailable, we will contact you with the options and you can swap or cancel for a full refund.
